Earth Day 2026 x 1% for the Planet
Here at Vision Fabrics, sustainability isn’t a checkbox—it’s a core part of how we think and what we do. Our ongoing membership with 1% for the Planet is a reflection of that commitment. With every SolarShade product sold, 1% of those sales goes directly to environmental nonprofits doing critical work around the world—because we believe business can, and should, be a force for good.
Earth Day has always felt like a moment to pause and take stock. Since its debut in 1970, it’s grown into one of the largest civic events on the planet—with over a billion participants raising their voices for environmental awareness each year.
We love this quote from EarthDay.org: “Progress does not happen in silence. It happens when people show up.” That line captures exactly why we don’t just talk about environmental responsibility—we build it into how we run our business. Partnering with the right organizations is one of the most direct ways we know how to show up.
Choosing our partners isn’t something we take lightly. We look for organizations with proven impact, shared values, and a genuine dedication to conservation and stewardship. This year, we’re proud to be directing our contributions to three incredible groups: Saving the Blue, Endangered Species International, and Arbio Peru.
Saving the Blue has our hearts when it comes to ocean conservation. Their mission centers on protecting marine ecosystems and the incredible biodiversity that depends on them—from endangered sea creatures to the coral reefs and habitats they call home. Healthy oceans matter to all of us, and Saving the Blue is doing the hard work to keep them that way.
Endangered Species International tackles one of the most urgent challenges of our time: keeping vulnerable wildlife from disappearing altogether. Their boots-on-the-ground conservation work spans research, habitat protection, and community education—all aimed at giving threatened species a real fighting chance. We’re proud to stand behind an organization that sees biodiversity as non-negotiable.
The Amazon rainforest is irreplaceable—and Arbio Peru is fighting to keep it that way. Through forest protection and sustainable land-use practices, they’re directly countering deforestation and climate change in one of the most biodiverse places on Earth. Their practical, on-the-ground approach is exactly the kind of work we want our dollars supporting.
No single company can solve the climate crisis alone—but that’s exactly why collective action matters. Our 1% for the Planet commitment is one small but consistent way we contribute to something bigger than ourselves, putting real resources behind organizations that are fighting for the planet every day.
Sustainability will keep shaping how Vision Fabrics grows—in the products we develop, the suppliers we choose, and the causes we support.
